Quick Dry Gilding Size is an oil-based adhesive designed for
projects where a shorter working time is preferred. It is commonly selected for
smaller gilding projects or situations where faster production is required.
This size typically reaches the proper gilding tack in about one hour
and remains open for gilding for approximately one additional hour.
After the leaf has been applied, the gilded surface may generally be sealed
with a protective clear coat after 48 hours. For projects requiring an
intermediate working time, Slow-Set and Quick Dry Gilding Size may be mixed
in a 50/50 ratio to produce a size with an approximate four-hour tack
time.
Dux Quick Dry Gilding Size is available in ¼ pint (4 oz), ½ pint (8
oz), pint, quart, and gallon containers, making it suitable for both small
decorative work and larger gilding applications.
