Sepp Leaf Products offers a selection of specialty brushes designed for specific tasks within the gilding and decorative finishing process. These brushes are selected for their durability, high-quality bristles, and ability to provide precise control when preparing surfaces, applying materials, or working with detailed decorative techniques.
Our specialty brush selection includes bole polishing brushes, stencil brushes, and Kölner synthetic brushes. Bole polishing brushes feature short, firm white bristles and are used to polish gilders clay (bole) prior to gilding, helping create a smooth surface for the application of metal leaf. Stencil brushes are round brushes with short, firm bristles designed to distribute thin, even layers of paint while minimizing the chance of paint bleeding beneath stencil edges. The Kölner synthetic cat’s tongue brushes are specially shaped for controlled application of materials used in the Kölner gilding system and other decorative finishing techniques.
